108 Sun Salutations - Charity Event
Sunday 19th December 10:00-12:00
Join Robyn and Maddie and help raise money for Alzheimer's Society and honour the winter solstice.
Sun Salutations can be practiced any time and with any frequency. Traditionally, practicing 108 Sun Salutations is reserved for the change of the seasons (ie the Winter and Summer Solstice, and the Spring and Fall Equinox).
The winter solstice is a reminder to honor our connection to the natural world. It is a way we can celebrate the change in seasons without traditional holidays, gifts, or decorations. Instead, we can honor winter through rituals and self-care, looking specifically to our ancestors and heritage for inspiration rather than co-opting from others.
Alzheimer's Society is a charity close to Robyn’s heart. This Charity was a great support to her grandparents 🤍

B R E A T H E
Saturday 19th February 10:30-12:00
Breathwork is a magical portal to transform how we feel.
We exist in a society that is designed keep us in an anxious state, with our sympathetic nervous system chronically switched on, and the organs of the body contracted. This state makes it near impossible to be present, grounded and landed in our reality.
Through changing and manipulating the breath we can regulate our emotions, manage stress, and reduce anxiety by naturally releasing different hormones. It is a pathway to dive deep into the nervous system, reset our state of being, and land back into the present moment.
B R E A T H E offers an introductory exploration of breathwork and the neuroscience behind it. We begin with a guided practice of high oxygen and low oxygen breath techniques as a way to access stillness. Then we will dive into the neuroscience, learning how the breath affects the nervous system, the physiology of respiration, and how the hormones released change our state of being after breathwork. There will be plenty of time for questions so you can leave with a new understanding and awareness of the power of your breath. After the workshop you will receive a recorded breathwork practice and hand out of the science covered so you can come back to the breath whenever you need.
This workshop is offered with inclusivity and accessibility in mind and is open to all.
