Yin Recharge Workshop with Dawn |
Saturday 23rd November 13:30-15:30
Join me to recharge your body physically, mindfully and energetically in preparation for the December rush. In the workshop we will release tension from our bodies, have the space to be still and quiet, allowing energy to flow more freely and stresses to melt away facilitating joyfulness for the season and the moments to come. Yin Yoga is the perfect complement to 21st Century living and high intensity exercise. In this yoga practice we soften and release the muscles. Yin shapes are held for about two to five minutes to work our connective tissues and make space in our bodies. The more we work our fascial system and deep tissues, the less dense and tight our bodies become. Benefits include:
There are three principles guiding the practice – coming into the Yin shape to an appropriate depth, so you can feel an edge; finding stillness in the body and the mind and staying in the shape for some time. There will be an opportunity for those with an existing Yin practice to extend the time they hold their shapes whilst if you are new to Yin or if it feels right for you, you can enjoy a delicious longer rebound - the pause between shapes. You will discover how the practice works on different (Traditional Chinese Medicine) acupressure points allowing energy to flow more freely. We will open with a meditation and end with an extended Savasana including a yoga nidra (guided meditation). You will leave the workshop feeling lighter and more relaxed. £25pp |
